As yoga has become increasingly popular in the West, more and more people are discovering the benefits this ancient practice brings to their stressful lives. Doing yoga will give you an increased awareness of your own body and mind. Through basic movements you will begin to improve your alignment and wring stress from your tense shoulders, stiff neck and aching, overworked muscles. It's great to help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome, too! Over time, this practice will increase your level of comfort in your own body. This can lead to improved concentration, posture, health, overall performance and self-confidence. Just what the Juris Doctors ordered!
Yoga and the practice of law also share a similar code of ethics. Each LawYoga class will focus on one ethical point. If you are taking the course for CE credit, you will be asked to reflect on that point after class, apply it at the at the office and then complete a short self-study exercise to document your work.
